The Helios III allows the configuration of different handpieces depending on the extent of the treatment area and on the laser wavelength.

FOUR HANDPIECES

General laser toning uses only two modes at a single wavelength and depending on the depth of the pigment, this may take too long to treat on some patients.

The Helios III uses 4G toning which incorporates four modes at two wavelengths that can effectively treat pigment situated at varying depths.

Zoom Handpiece

1st G-Black Toning

Treats pigmentation situated between the epidermal and dermal layers using a general laser toning method.

Collimator Handpiece

2nd G-Blue Toning

Treats pigmentation situated deeper between the epidermal and dermal layers using a general laser toning method.

1064 Handpiece

3rd G-Red Toning

Treats pigmentation in the deep dermal layer using the fractional mode, a minimally painful treatment.

532 Handpiece

4th G-Green Toning

Treats pigmentation situated in the epidermal layer using the fractional mode, with fewer side effects.

HOW DOES THE HELIOS III LASER WORK?

The HELIOS III offers faster and more effective tattoo removal and skin toning thanks to its revolutionary 4G toning technology. Traditionally, laser toning only employs two wavelengths (1064 nm) and two modes (Black/Blue). This means many patients see little benefit from the lengthy procedure of laser toning.

Instead, in order to efficiently treat pigments deposited at different depths, the HELIOS 4G toning system uses FOUR modes (Black/Blue/Red/Green) at TWO wavelengths (1064nm/532nm). This shortens the treatment time while also increasing its efficacy, meaning patients can return to normal activities quickly.

Due to this, the Helios laser is able to effectively treat severe pigmentation, spider veins, shrink pores and reduce wrinkles.

Laseroptek Helios III FAQs

Find the answers to your questions about the Laseroptek Helios III you are looking for.

The Helios III uses a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser capable of emitting two wavelength (dual wavelength technology) at the frequencies 1064nm & 532nm. This mean the Helios II is highly adaptable and can be used to deliver multiple treatment types at the press of a button.
The Nd:YAG laser used in the Helios III can provide two laser wavelengths of 1064nm and 532nm. This allows it to penetrate deeper layers of skin tissue compared to the other laser types. This makes the Nd:YAG laser ideal for targeting pigmentation of the skin for rejuvenating treatments and tattoo removal. It is also highly effective on darker skin tones.
The Helios III laser can be used on all Fitzpatrick scale skin types (I-VI). It is an extremely versatile laser device, highly effective for skin treatments including rejuvenation, pigmentation, and tattoo removal treatments. Practitioners are able to deliver bespoke treatment options with ease.
With multiple treatment tip options, the Helios III is capable of treating most areas of the body, including hard-to-treat areas with the smaller treatment tips.
To maximise the versatility of the Helios III, there are a total of four treatment tips available for the device. Each treatment tip offers unique benefits and treatment styles, find out more about the Helios III’s treatment tips further up the page in the handpieces section.
